SarkarSanjal is an unofficial, independent project that organizes, connects, explains, and makes discoverable the Government of Nepal's publicly available organizations, people, websites, services, and contacts.

SarkarSanjal is not owned, operated, endorsed by, or affiliated with the Government of Nepal or any of its ministries, departments, or agencies. It is an independent information and discovery layer built on top of publicly available government information.

For actual applications, transactions, submissions, payments, or registrations, always use the official government website linked from the relevant page on this site.

How information is sourced

Every organization, person, service, website, and contact record on SarkarSanjal is meant to carry a source, a link to that source, and a verification status. SarkarSanjal does not invent government officials, phone numbers, email addresses, URLs, or procedures. Where something is unknown or unverified, it is left blank or explicitly marked as needing verification rather than guessed at. See theSources & Verification page for more detail as it's built out.

Why this project exists

Nepal's government ecosystem — federal, provincial, and local — spans many ministries, departments, commissions, offices, and services, each with their own websites and contact points. SarkarSanjal exists to make that ecosystem easier for ordinary citizens to navigate: to answer questions like "what does this ministry do," "who is the current minister," or "which office handles this," and point people to the right official source.

SarkarSanjal is part of the Nepalwide family of independent, civic information projects, alongside efforts covering people, places, law, news, and other public information. It focuses specifically on government structure, organizations, people, and services.

Project status

SarkarSanjal is being built incrementally, in public phases. Large parts of the directory — ministries, people, services, and more — are still under development. Sections that aren't built yet say so clearly rather than showing broken or fabricated content.
